If I could give Vang's Sushi Shack 10 stars, I absolutely would! The food is consistently amazing, and the service is second to none. Every visit has been a great experience, but Dante always goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Andy is just as wonderful, and together they make an already great restaurant even better. We come for the comedy nights (because my husband is a comedian 😂), and what impresses me most is that they never make us feel rushed. They stay late to make sure everyone is taken care of, even after a long evening. That kind of hospitality is rare these days, and it keeps us coming back. If you're looking for incredible sushi, outstanding service, and a fun atmosphere, Vang's Sushi Shack is the place to be. Highly recommend!

The sushi roll in the Bento box is the smallest and thinnest I have ever experienced, it just feels like a scam to me. It was $20 for this skinny roll The waiter told me he would replace it, and proceeded to ignore me and talk with friends.

Shout out to Noel and his team. This was literally my first time ever trying sushi outside of Volcano rolls a few times. I'm now into sushi. Appreciate the experience and the amazing food, service and atmosphere. Another shout out to Ivy for fantastic energy and service. I'll certainly be back.

I've had so much sushi in my lifetime and I can hands down say Vangs is absolutely top tier. Can't wait for my next trip to VA so I can get some more! Killer staff great atmosphere and some of the finest sushi ive ever had. Don't skip on this place if you have the option to grab a meal there.

Update: I originally wrote that their portions felt small, but actually in retrospect the more that I’ve gone out to eat sushi their portions are actually not small. They actually have less rice which allows you to enjoy more of the ingredients within the roll itself. That said their portions may appear small but that’s because I was so used to sushi rolls having so much rice. I recently visited this location with my wife and came away genuinely impressed. The space has a unique identity that feels right at home on Shore Drive, blending coastal beach vibes with skate culture influences. From the graffiti-inspired artwork and skateboard décor to the laid-back atmosphere and team members who embody the culture, the restaurant feels authentic to the Shore Drive scene rather than manufactured. The food was the real standout. The Cardiel Crudo completely exceeded my expectations. The tuna was incredibly soft and delicate, while the truffle oil added a rich layer of flavor that elevated the dish without overpowering it. The Oliveira Octopus was another highlight. Having had octopus in places like Greece, Croatia, and Mexico, I can confidently say it’s one of the more difficult dishes
